Join us for a family-style drum circle! Drum circles foster a sense of community and creativity, while also providing participants’ an outlet to physically express emotions in a safe, nonviolent way through playing hand drums and other percussive instruments to create a cohesive melody or beat. Don't forget to bring any extra drums you don't mind if the kids play with!

What is the JUMPSTART Movement:
Founded by Daisy WindSong, JUMPSTART is a nonprofit project for local musicians, artists and loving members of the community to work hand-in-hand with children living in DFW homeless shelters.
By igniting the passions of these children, JUMPSTART volunteers aim to provide the children with healthy tools of self-expression that can be used for managing stress, anxiety and boosting individual confidence – curbing future long-term effects of peer pressure, involvement with drugs and/or gang violence.
